parts swap question
« on: September 22, 2016, 04:09:47 PM »
I have an 80 wagon......I have the opportunity to purchase a 78 wagon and a 7s runabout (I think is what it is). I know the front clips and bumpers are different. What body parts will swap from wagon to wagon( trim, doors, etc.) I know the runabout will be very few but its a package deal.

Thanks

I think just about everything except the hood, front fenders and bumpers. Maybe if there is an apron under the bumper (I'm a 1st Gen. Pinto guy) that won't fit either.   They also changed the roof rack from 4 ribs to 3 ribs at some point.  The doors and glass of the non-wagons won't fit a wagon but all wagon doors/glass should fit wagons.  Depending on the year of the Runabout it could be limited parts change 71-73 cars and 74-80 cars are somewhat different in suspension and engines.
