Fuel milage
« on: May 02, 2013, 12:43:39 AM »
Just got my 71 running and checked fuel milage in town, about 25 mpg. This is with a 2300 eng, new carb, roller cam(ranger) and t-5, all else stock. Is this about right for this combo?

Sure beats the 15 to 17 my 2.3/auto wagon is eeking out. I suspect that will Improve once I find time to install the NOS carb but 25 sounds about right. I've seen a few posts claiming higher but I suspect it's in the light foot & better driving habits of some out there.
