oil pressure check valve
« on: November 25, 2013, 01:19:35 PM »
My 75 pinto is leaking oil between head and block. The bolt with nylon seal washer on block behind the oil  filter has nothing down inside. I removed the manual oil pressure gauge and replaced it with the original sensor and got a continuous red engine light. I think some one in the past tried to fix light by removing the pressure valve if there is one creating high pressure causing oil leak. Can anyone tell me if there is a pressure valve or not? thanks Tim. Manuel tells nothing and only shows a threaded hole in block.
