Retosound Model 2 Radio For 1974 Pinto
« on: December 22, 2016, 07:20:28 AM »
I have a 1974 Pinto trunk model. I pulled out the original Philco AM Radio and in the process of installing my new Retrosound Model 2 Radio. What is the best way to wire the switched power and constant power? Does anyone have the electrical diagram as well?

if your philco radio had two wire plug in on the wire,  one was switched and the other was for lighting that dimmed with the pannel lights , for constant power you will have to tag off a hot fuse in the fuse box , or splice a power wire , (yellow wire )  You might can still find the fuse tags for the old glass fuses , it clamps on one end of the fuse , that is what I am useing on mine

That's 100% right. Those little j shaped clips are on E-gay under electoral lug clips or something close. Do know their lugs though.

I got these in the mail today. My buddy is telling me that you would have to place one on the cold side of the fuse. What would that be?
