Tried the search function but couldn't find anything for new replacement tail light lenses. I just ruined both of mine trying to take the paint off the lense trim with paint remover :(. They were almost new looking before I ruined them and am hoping someone makes replacements. Any leads greatly appreciated-

Griifon, check ebay.. They should have what you need. If not try Fred Morgan on here... He has almost everything related to Pinto parts.

Did you just remove the paint or melt the lenses ? You can refinish the trim with paint from eastwood. The tail light assembles are usually found on eBay. Next time do not use paint stripper that is for metal on plastic parts ,soak the part in a tub filled with clean brake fluid for a few hours and call it a day, it should not hurt the plastic. It's a trick I learned from Muscle Car on Spike TV.

Thanks, that aircraft paint stripper is some destructive stuff. :'(

If the lenses are just fogged, simonize works very well.

Ended up using steel wool to clean them up as much as possible, then clearcoating them to remove the fog. Not as nice as they were to begin with but now at least I can drive until I find a good deal on some clean ones. I saw some on E bay that were nice like mine before I messed them up and the seller was asking $199 a piece.

What year is your Pinto?

Both of these for $47.00 total shipped. Fred :)

Sheesh, great deal but I just went overbudget today on a transmission issue so the pretty stuff will have to wait :'(. Thank you, I'm sure when I can afford it, there won't be any to be found.

Fred you wouldn't happen to have any Bob Cat light assembly and lenses would you??

What kind of paint is good for the raised trim on 79-80 Hatch car lenses? And can it be used to touch up the raised trim in the dash and vent pieces. Thanks or does someone have a like new set for sale?
