Anyone know what type of tool removes the bolts on the front seats?

You have to go under the car to get them off.. I am assuming you are meaning the hardware mounting the seats to the car? If so a 1/2 or 13mm deepwell socket will take them right off. That's what I used on my 77s seats.

My '76 wagon, '77 sedan & '80 hatch all un-bolt from underneath with a 1/2" deepwell socket.

One half inch deepwell did the job on my car when I changed the seats.
