Radiator
« on: March 28, 2017, 01:53:54 PM »
Ok my radiator is shot the radiator shop can't repair it. Too many leaks after he fixes 1 a new one appears.

I found one on rock auto for a 1980 pinto  my question will it fit a wagon?

I have been burned with a fuel tank I bought now I can't sell.
Thanks

The one you list is for  non-A/C, not Heavy Duty application 20-1/4" width. Does that match your configuration?  Interesting that under 1980 they list the 17" radiator. I thought they ended with the 2.0 engine???  Maybe not in cold climate, non-A/C applications?

Interesting too that it does not ask if the car is Manual or Auto as the automatic cars cool the transmission through the radiator. That said, the image (under more info) shows the trans connections. BTW, if your car is manual, it doesn't matter.  I'll say "according to the site information," yes it should fit.  I'd look over, measure you existing radiator to double check. At the bottom of the "more info" page there are measurements.

I took a look at their fuel tank. It does not state differentiate between a wagon and a non-wagon.  They wouldn't take it as a return? If in fact you bought it from Rock Auto it would seem their fault the two tank types were not differentiated .

My car is a manual with no A/C

As far as the gas tank I was a dumb butt and painted it black before I checked the fitment
