Pinto will be your only choice without any modifications.

I went to my local salvage yard and they ordered a used one from Colorado for 50 bucks.  It was tagged "tested" and "ok" but I brought it to a rad shop and there were some leaks-which costed me an additional 55. My old one was fubar'd and none to be found on the west coast.  You might try that route? :-[

You can get a new one from Rock Auto for $175-$258 dollars.

Or you can recore the one you have at your local radiator shop.
I would save the extra money to get it done right.  The cooling system is the lifeblood to make your engine last.

I have this one from a 79 for $50.00 + ship. It was pulled after car drove 183 miles to here so it must be a good one.   Fred    :)

65/66 Mustang v-8 is what I have in my 80 Pinto. Fits like stock but you do have to use a long hose as the bottom outlet is on the wrong side.
Its better to be a has-been, than a never was.
