Previous guy put a hood scoop on my pinto that came off a ramcharger. It was bolted down with 3/8 bolts, so now I've got to patch the holes.

I don't want to use bondo because the slamming of the hood might crack the bondo and bondo will bubble over time.

I heard JP weld is sandable and strong would this work ?

I could weld the holes and grind them flush but it would mean more prepping to avoid sparks hitting the windshield, paint etc..

Whats a permanent fix?

Replace the hood. The only other option you would have would be the ones you already mentioned. JB weld may work but it may or may not be compatible with certain paints and cause lifting.
