Title: Purchasing a Runabout within the next 12 months
Post by: softtony on August 16, 2013, 02:51:01 PM
I am looking to buy a 1975-1980 Runabout within 12 months as a retirement gift to myself. It must have the 2300 cc engine, automatic trans, power steering and a/c. It should be in GOOD to EXCELLENT condition. Engine and trans MUST be good . Exterior should have Little to NO RUST. Body should be mostly free of dents and scratches,Paint should be good. Interior should be in good condition, with no rips ,tears or burn holes, and a good headliner and carpets. I realize that even the nicest car will have a couple of the above problems. Just as long as there are only a couple or three of them. I hope to hear from anyone looking to sell soon or sometime in the next year or so. If it is in the future and its a car I really like, I have no problem with giving the seller a large deposit to hold it until they are ready. If someone wants a larger car I might trade my 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue G L S  .It has 116 k on it. I am the second owner. It has always been a Florida car, with NO rust, dents or scratches. Interior is leather in Great condition. Car has a v-6 engine and every available option. Gets approx. 20 mpg in the city and approx. 30 to 32 mpg on the highway. Great car, Its just that I REALLY WANT A RUNABOUT.   HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON. Thanks,SOFTTONY
