Power Windows Conversion?
« on: December 15, 2022, 08:12:58 PM »
Just wondering if anyone ever thought about adding power windows or if there is any mechanisms from other cars that could work in a Pinto.  I wouldn't need anything stock looking as I need to make my own door cards anyway.

Plans changed, going V8 with TKX!

It seems doable, the main issue being are there mounting points that are available. Travel length would also be a factor. I don't mind rolling down a driver's window manually, but I REALLY would like a power passenger window.

Hot rodders put power windows in just about anything.  I suppose anything is possible, but I haven't done it and don't plan to so I can't offer advice.  Custom shops can do just about anything.

I've always wanted to try, but never did. I'm sure it can be done. like rob289c says, hot rodders do it all the time. good luck in trying, let us know what happens. could be a cool option  8)

I seen a bunch of these universal kits out there, but lots of reviews saying they don't last.  I've been eyeing up this kit, but sure is pricey.
