Lunait Cams-Any Advice?
« on: February 25, 2013, 10:23:48 PM »
I'm looking into getting a new cam for my soon-to-be daily driver. I've looked into a Lunati cam with 410 for the lift, with 231 in duration..can't read the rest of my notes from there.. Any advice on the part? I'd like a little bit of an attitude from it..but also decent mileage too!

-Thanks!
Bought my Pinto in '12, last tagged in '97. Had it on the road (thanks to a $20) spring '14. Tima to tear it apart, fix it correctly this time....and play with the drive train. Got a totally free & complete drive train-engine, 5 speed, drive shaft, and computer!

That's a mild cam and a nice upgrade for a stock or near stock engine. Factory lift is .399 so it's not a big jump from stock. Make sure to replace the rockers, might also want to replace the lifters and timing belt while you're there. And if you go the final step and degree the cam you'll be surprised at how much power it will gain. (BTW, I'm guessing this is a 2.3?)

If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?
