well does the truck have the whole pinto steering system in it or just the rack , post a photo of the rack so we can make sure its a 71 rack or if your lucky a 74 up rack which is a bolt in , a photo is a thousand words here ,, later Blaine

Yes you do have a 71/72 pinto rack , and your pretty well stuck with that unless you cut it out and put in a newer cross member, the pluss side if you do it is a tad stronger , more front  coil springs are available along with larger brake rotors and wheel bolt patterns,  and power or manual racks are easy to get , that one must have been done along time ago, as long as it works keep it ,
