Power brake booster interchange
« on: May 12, 2012, 03:42:47 PM »
Hey guys,
I was at a junkyard today & I ran across a 1978 Mustang II with power brakes. My car has manual brakes & I wanna change that. Now, I checked & found the master cylinder for power brakes matches up for a 78 Mustang II & 77 Pinto but the part number for the brake booster is different.
My question is does anyone know if the brake booster from the 78 Mustang II will work?
Thanks for any info!

Cool, sounds good to me. I was perfectly okay with manual brakes on the car but after I hit the brakes & almost hit a car in front of me when the car just didn't want to stop as well I decided to switch to power brakes. I saw that 78 Mustang II in the junkard & am wanting to get as many parts I can from it before it's gone.
