Power brake booster interchange

Hey guys,
I was at a junkyard today & I ran across a 1978 Mustang II with power brakes. My car has manual brakes & I wanna change that. Now, I checked & found the master cylinder for power brakes matches up for a 78 Mustang II & 77 Pinto but the part number for the brake booster is different.
My question is does anyone know if the brake booster from the 78 Mustang II will work?

i seem to recall that it did but its been over 15 years since i did power booster upgrade from a mustang2. i usually go the other route.from power to manual

Cool, sounds good to me. I was perfectly okay with manual brakes on the car but after I hit the brakes & almost hit a car in front of me when the car just didn't want to stop as well I decided to switch to power brakes. I saw that 78 Mustang II in the junkard & am wanting to get as many parts I can from it before it's gone.
