'77 2.8 V6 oil leak from filter adapter

I called 3 parts stores and cannot find a gasket.. Anyone know where to find it??

You can always buy some gasket material (available in sheets at the major auto parts houses) and cut your own. Been there, done that,but not with the 2.8. The concept is the same, though. Hope that helps.

Or you can do it by cross etching with sand paper and do a whole seal with orange hi temp silicone and let cure 24 hours and you are good to go !  Fred   :D

It takes a special o-ring, which I could not find either. I found the closest size o-ring and put it in. It leaked a bit so I took it apart again and coated the o-ring with heavy gasket sealant.Seems to be working ok now.
