Title: Pinto Sedan vs Pinto Wagon Ext Belt Line Trim Length
Post by: ddeangelo50 on November 22, 2018, 05:22:08 AM
Hi everyone!

Does anyone know if the exterior belt line trim length on a '77 or '78 wagon interchange with a Pinto sedan? Are the doors the same length on both models?

Thanks, Darrell

The wagons are stated to be roughly 10" longer than the sedan. Thus it is an assumption that the beltline trim is longer (though I don't know for sure). The doors are likely the same length but the windows on the doors are different.

Form the PCCA site http://pintopage.fordpinto.com/PINTO%20SPECIFICATIONS.htm  Not sure if the stated Runabout length is all front grill and 5 MPH bumpers.

Dimensions
Lenth:
Sedan......... .............. ....170.8 in
Runabout...... .............. ..168.8 in
Wagon......... .............. ..180.6 in

Wittsend, I'm sorry I didn't reply to your email. That was an oversight on my part and that was 3 years ago!

I appreciate you getting back with me. My '78 sedan has gone through some major changes that I'd like to share with the club. I will update my membership and share photos with everyone ASAP.

Happy New Year!
