Title: Pinto Engine physical dimensions
Post by: grywht on July 28, 2012, 11:55:45 PM
All,

I'm interested in using a Pinto powerplant in my 1914 Model T pickup...I'm curious if someone can provide the physical dimensions of the various Pinto engines.  I'm specifically interested in;

Length (from face of water pump pulley to bellhousing mounting surface)
Width (from outside of carb to exhaust manifold, width of cylinder head would also be a help)
Height (from oil pan/block mating surface to top of cam pulley) and (from oil pan/block mating surface to carb top)

1.6 (Kent), 2.0, and 2.3 information all welcome!

Thanks,

Gary W.

I have the 2.0 with a C4 in my 23 T. Apologise for not having the dimensions. It is a good fit power wise though.

Bellhousing to water pump pulley on the 2.3L is 24 inches. I just measured mine today to see if I had room for an electric fan.
