I think they may fit some early 74's but not the ones built later than mid-74.

I don't know the exact differences but when Pinturbo75 brought me my 74 wagon body he explained that early 74's took 71-73 pedals & mid-74 & later took a different set. He took the pedals out of mine to use in another car so I'm not even sure which ones I need. I have a late set but no clue if those are the ones I'm gonna need.

cragars have been hard to find - ebay has been dead for 13" cragars!! found a set in ill but my buddy in Chicago is still 3 hours away so no go on those!
will keep looking!

I didn't know there was a PM limit LOL. Let me know on the pedals. Like I said, I'll pick em up just in case I need the early set for mine. I have 2 sets of late pedals so I'm sure that means I need the other ones.

I need to wait till I get the last 2 cars done before selling them. One set is for power brakes & the other is manual. I don't know which way I'm going yet.

I think FINDING them will be the biggest issue regardless of the year. I have spent a month trying to find some pedals to convert a 76 bobcat to manual. They just ain't out there. I may have to settle for the 4 speed Pinto I found. I really wanted that Bobcat. It's a shame the pedals don't interchange with any other model.

Pinto pedals should fit Bobcats. I've seen a couple late sets on ebay already this year.

When I was looking for pedals for my '73 I was warned that there were four different pedals used on Pinto's/Bobcat's.

  1.   71-73 was one type.
  2.   74 to ?? manual brake was another
  3.   74 to ?? power brake was another
  4.   Don't know.

Also, just a guess but Mustang II pedals might work.  For me the bad news was I bought 79-80 Pedals for my 73.  The good news was Fred Morgan needed them and swapped me for a 71-73 set.

If I remember correctly, the Mustang II pedals are a different length than the Pinto's.  They look the same until you get them side by side.  I want to say the Mustang II pedals are longer.  It has been quite a few years though since I have had a set side by side.  I wish I would have taken a picture.
