puddle in car
« on: June 02, 2013, 09:48:54 PM »
After the storms we had I went to my car and found a puddle in front of the passenger seat. I noticed since I put hinges on my door it does sit up a little high where you can see some light coming in underneath the edge of the door. And the rubber strip was hanging off the bottom and rotted so I just pulled it off.

I dont know yet though if its coming in from the windshield seal, the cowl the wipers or underr/around the door yet.

Probably going to pour a bucket of water in the cowel and see what happens then go from there. Any advice?

I'm betting on the door seals if you didn't have puddles previously. I used stick-on weatherstrippi ng from WalMart to fill some gaps on my '80 around the doors & hatch. It was a good temporary fix.
