Hi all, I getting ready to put my '71's interior back together and I want to paint the dash board and the inside door metal. It looks like the dash is a semi-gloss or flat black, but the door trim looks to be a bit more shiney. Has anyone re painted the dash or inner door metal? I'm thinking of doing it with a spray can. can anyone help here. Thanks, Chris

Years ago I changed the radio bezel on my 79 wagon to the early metal type so I could install a din style radio. I bought a can of black interior paint for a 65-68 Mustang and it matched almost perfectly. When I get around to doing my 73 hatch, I will do the same thing.

Thx Tigger, I'm in need of black dash paint as well. Was going with satin black but now I'll get mustang interior paint for a better match

From a previous post about the restoration of my cruising wagon:
For those of you with a black interior a perfect match for the factory semi flat black is SEM 39144 trim paint, it also comes in spray cans for those without a gun and an air compressor.
This paint is available from most well stocked auto supply stores.
