Installing sport mirrors
« on: March 10, 2018, 04:49:02 PM »
Finally won a pair of sport mirrors for a decent price as many were overpriced. I have a few questions about installation.

1. how do I get the remote control stick and cable through the hole in the door to mount it?
2. Since I didn't have a  mirror on the right side, I have to drill holes. Is there a template or something to use to get the holes in the right positions? I noticed the top edge of the mirror mount cuts into the bottom of the aluminum trim on the door. I want to make sure it matches the left side perfectly.

Ill chime in and try to help starring with #2.  I measured distance from front of driver door  top down and tip of door to edge of mirror.  My car did not have the aluminum trim piece you desperately need to locate.  Use driver door to see cut away in trim.

Item 1,  drill minimum size hole between mounting holes to drop remote cable through after removing bezel of course.  Cable will go around front of track and then back towards interior side.  You will then drill hole, again just big enough to fit assy through.  You may file a notch, drill small to do this.  Then put bezel on top.  Ive done this and can provide measurements.  Email onefastcar@centurytel.net
