replacement hvac blower motor
« on: October 15, 2013, 08:29:15 PM »
Hey!
So a while ago, maybe a year, possibly two I found a post either here, or on the now defunct turbopinto.com someone found a replacement bolt in hvac blower motor, not the 70's MG one, but it was something else that bolted right in, and I think required the shaft being cut down, that was it. it was readily available as a brand new part. Any ideas what model or where the pictures and posts might be?

The idea behind it was that it was substantially shorter and gave more room in the engine bay for the non AC airbox cars.

Thanks!
Dave

Fortunately there is a similar thread here.
http://www.fordpinto.com/pinto-faq/heater-motor-that-clears-the-turbo-downpipe-(-found)/msg127184/#msg127184

There was a TurboPinto.com thread where "4-barrel Mike" recessed the stock Pinto blower motor & fan into the heater housing to gain exhaust clearance.  I have a hard copy of this thread.  If of interest, pm me your email address and will send a scanned copy.
