Original molding doesn't fit new gasket
« on: March 10, 2018, 06:59:15 PM »
Hi all, I have a 1975 Pinto wagon and ordered window seals from Steele products. The glass shop installed the new gasket and the back glass on the wagon hatch. Unfortunately they said the original aluminum molding would not work with the new gasket. The new gasket I got was Steele no. 70-3512-81 which is supposed to be for a wagon back glass. I don't seem to have the old original gasket so I can't compare it to see how it is different from the new gasket. The glass shop said  I had to either get molding to fit the new gasket they installed or get a gasket to fit the original molding. Can someone advise on what I should do about this?

Thanks much
