Glad to hear you got it going! Ironically mine fired up on the first turn of the key..., then it took a few years to find a solution to running poorly. And, that was all it was, a solution (running 12V directly from the battery to the + side of the coil). So, I'm not even sure what the specific problem was, only that it fixed it. BTW, that 12v comes through as relay so when I turn the car off, - it actually shuts off.
