Not sure what to do with 76 Runabout
« on: June 15, 2013, 04:37:52 PM »
I have a 76 Runabout that I had been working on for a few years. With the help of a good mechanic I was able to get it back into running condition. I had work done like replacing most of the fuel system (new carb, resurfaced gas tank), some new suspension and new brakes.

I used it as a daily drive for a little while until an engine compartment fire put it out of condition again.

I've decided that the ups and downs of classic car ownership aren't for me and I'm trying to figure out the best way to get rid of it. It's not in great shape, so I'm not sure if anyone would actually want it.

Should I just take it to the junk yard? Or is it worth listing somewhere to try to find a home for it?

Looks like you had a fire around the alternator area.   There are replacement wiring harness for that car or you can use one from a Fox body Mustang. Where else is the damage.  Some under the hood pictures would be nice. Where are you at ?
