The stock pinto was a duraspark set up, the later bronco II had a computer contrôléd feedback carb and dist , it was a pain in the butt when you had a problem with it , the fix was to rob the carb and the duraspark off the pinto , the only difference in your 2.8 over the stock pinto 2.8 is the engine block is thicker , cam journal is larger ,spark plugs ,timing cover , water pump , and some the thermostat was on the top and not the side , but will work ,
