2.3 (76) Water pump job?
« on: June 08, 2013, 04:04:50 AM »

Forgive the redundant post if its been brought up recently, but i'm in a bit ov a hurry here.

My wreck (76 MPG w 2.3/4-speed) needs a water pump bad. Got a good price on a new one, just need to know whats involved and how long it'll take. I dont need a play by play, just a general idea... i might be paying a shop to do this. Doesn't LOOK terribly complicated...

Drain the antifreeze, take the hose loose from the water pump, maybe remove the radiator, remove the fan, then just unbolt the water pump and replace it with a new one and a new gasket. shouldn't be a terrible job to do yourself.
