Pro-Street Project
« on: December 20, 2012, 12:05:16 PM »
I am putting together a project car bought several years ago. It's a 73 Runabout.
It was sold to me as a pro-street, but I think it was pure race (400 HP, 13:1 compression, Detroit locker rear, bare interior, full race cage, no wipers, electrically driven water pump, slicks, etc.)
I live in Connecticut and wonder if any locals out there know what I need to register it and what kind of inspection will be done?
Thanks   .....     Kevin

I'm not in the States.
But what I would do is drop by an inspection place & get a copy of the inspection sheet(s). Then fix what is missing from that.

Kevin,

If I were you, I would get in touch with a local car club and ask the locals what your needs might be.

It took me almost 2 years to make this beast street legal.  Just making it street leagal is only half the work.  Making it very reliable is also important.

Good luck on your project.  Let us know how you are doing.

Dick
