Need Help with '71 2.0L original piston rod specs
« on: March 13, 2013, 10:31:08 AM »
Hi Everyone.
I had a rod and piston to break in my '71 2.0L Pinto. I need to know the original specs on the rods so I can find a set to replace. I have a set in mind which listed the specs but I don't know if they are the same as mine.  I am reasonably new to this area of repair so I need all the help I can get.

Thanking everyone in advance,

Outback Neil.

If for some reason the info from 71HANTO doesn't work out for you, you may want to look at ebay # 140392218261
Please be aware that there have been quite a few differerent rods used in the 2.0 over the years. So if you can find any sort of casting number or letters on your old one it may help you.
