How much grief am I likely to get using an all mechanical advance distributor?

Street car? It won't get the mileage it could with a vacuum advance distributor. That's about it.

Thank you. I'm not at all concerned with the mileage. Its just a once and a while cruiser.

As long as you have a good curve in it it'll work just fine.
