My 78 wagon is a REAL bubba special. Bubba replaced lower BJ with uppers. Do the lowers go up through the arm or bolt on top?
Thx in advance.
-
WOW. Not sure that is even possible. Not sure if the pin taper is the same on both, as well the length and diameter!
Then there is the fact that the top b/j has 3 bolts the same size of each other, and, the lower has 4 bolts - 2 different
size of the other 2. Has the lower control arm been modified?, cut?, and rewelded? But, to answer your original
question, from the bottom.
-
If bolted on top nothing holds the rubber seal down.......... .............. ..
-
The pin taper and length is diff. I had a "rattle" in the front end because it wasn't tight. 2 of the bolt holes lined up (enough for Bubba). ;(

'... replaced lower BJ with uppers.'
Whoa I totally misread that one, thought you meant all 4 got changed. My bad.
Can't get much more bubba than that.......... ..
-
Is this correct?
-
Could easily be, hoping the bottom flange is showing simply because you have barely threaded bolts on so far. Bottom has to be pulled up inside where we can't see it.
-
Yup. Bolts just started. Top flange downside up in pic. Fixed it. Thanx for the reply.

Good deal, you caught that too.
