interior E break cover removal

Ok so I trying to work on a few things on the baby hearse (thats what my  friend said it looks like) and am wanting to rattle can paint a few parts and peices on the interior, for the life of me I cant figure out how to remove the E break cover.... can someone help me with this project please?

it is quite difficult to do .. it opens from the rear .. it snaps shut .. take something with a big flat head and insert into the cover with the brake handle up a little  and push against the back bottom  of  the cover ..then a few screws to remove ...
