Title: inside heater hoses
Post by: sedandelivery on April 07, 2012, 08:47:09 AM
What have you been using for the heater hoses going from the heater assy to the engine, I can't seem to find a source for them. Thanks! The parts people have no idea. Do Mustang II have the same?

bulk stuff from the local auto parts store works fine. Optionally you can go with the blue silicone high miler if you want it blingy...

Many thanks, I thought they had to be the molded ones, now I can continue my job putting the car back together. I am getting tons of work done on the car so far this year!

On my 78 I use bulk hose by the foot, for my 73, it had A/C so one of the hoses has two 90 degree bends in it.

For that hose I just bought a pre-molded heater hose of the correct diameter, with the bends that I needed (no specific car, just browsed through what they had behind the counter on the wall). I then cut out the section I needed and away I was! It was about $10 more than what i would have paid for bulk, but for the way it all hooks up, it was necessary.
