Are the door hinges tight & free of any slop? If not start there because worn hinges wont allow adjustment

I'm gonna have to change mine or rebuild them, door drops a bit when you open it, them doors sure are heavy..

I weighed rusty sedan doors & they were 76 pounds. Figure 80 pounds with door panels, cranks, etc.

The impact braces are 14 pounds each by themselves

you most likely will need new door striker bolts  as well .. the shaking up and down of the door will have broken the plastic sleeve ..

That's a lot of weight hanging on those hinges, probably wouldn't hurt to change the striker bolts either..

The bushings aren't that difficult to replace. You can make a simple tool using a 'long' bolt & nut, some flat washers & a 3/8 drive socket.
However if you want to go OEM-NOS there are enough 'just enough' available to do your car. PM me if you want more info.

First of all, welcome!  In order to PM (Private Message) another member, click on their screen name.  That will take you to their profile where you'll see a menu that includes "PM".  Click on that, type your message, and hit send.  The message will go to them and likely they will reply the same way.  You'll be notified when you have received a PM and you click on "My Messages" to read it or to reply.  Hope this helps!
