Can window lifts from a '84 T-Bird work in a '79 Pinto wagon?

Let me guess, you have a Pinto which has windows that don't open smoothly or at all, and an '84 T-bird sitting somewhere as a possible parts donor car.

If you're talking about window REGULATOR mechanisms (they go inside of the door and actually raise and lower the glass), it's very doubtful that they would fit properly without modification.
If you're just talking about the window crank HANDLES (they mount on the stem of the regulator as it passes through the trim or interior door panel) that operate the regulators, they might. A lot of the Ford door handles of that era would fit several different car model lines, even if they didn't match the styling.

The only way to tell for certain about the regulators, is to have one of each for a comparison.
