help with water lines 2.8 / 78
« on: May 18, 2012, 12:35:32 PM »
Hi all,

a couple years back I started a build project and 3 months into the build we had to move so the car didn't get finished.

Long and short,  I didn't get any pics of all the hose lines that seem to jet out of the water system for the 2.8.  I know there are many guys in here with the same motor and will be able to take a couple pics and explain all the water nipples to me.   thanks.

Thanks fred,   kinda helps a bit, i don't know what you have by-passed.  I posted 2 pics below, I understand that the 2 largest ones go to the rad, then 2 should go to the heater, (what to where I don't know)  and then there are 2 more that I am completely lost about.

thanks if any one can tie in the missing hoses.

Could you email those to me as well? I bought my Bobcat with broken and missing lines everywhere. I thought they were all vacuum lines.

I tried E mailing you but they keep being sent back.  Email me  hawker39@verizon.net  and I'll try to send them in a reply.
Note: these are only coolant lines. If you need something for vacuum lines that's another ballgame for sure. In that case alot more info is needed.  Model year (better yet, built date) Federal or CA only emission system, maybe even manual or automatic trans. etc. Unless you have a car just like yours to look at you will need to buy a vacuum diagram book off ePay or somewhere.
If you look at the pics Fred posted in this thread- it's a real snake pit.
