Title: help with MSD 6AL into 2.8 please

Hey all,  I am needing a bit of help with setting up a MSD 6AL ignition into 78 with 2.8.  i have read the manual a few times and here is where I am stuck

scroll down to pages 17/18 and which one do i use?  and is this silver box in pic what i splice into?

The silver box is the voltage regulator for the alternator. You shouldnt have to splice that with anything.
