Door jamb tag decode?
« on: July 04, 2013, 11:07:26 PM »
Hello, The previous owner of my 72 wagon thought it was a original delivery sedan. I just assumed that it was filled in. So I'm doing some research on the the tag on the door jamb. First of all, It's made in canada!
Next,
 Body=73B-?, Color=28?, Trim=FA-BLACK VINYL, Trans=W-auto, Axel=G-325.1, DSO=41-Chicago,

 Anyone know what the 73B and the color 28 would be? Thank's

73B body is a wagon if that's what you've got (someone here may have more insight about the delivery panels) and 2B (not 28) is bright red for 1972. You may be able to find the original color under bolt heads you remove, in the spare tire area, or behind rubber trim pieces that were not removed during the repainting process.
