I've purchased two brands of headers so far, HR, (I think it was), and Dynomax. The HR I put on my stock '74 Pinto 2300 4sp in the 80's. I had a 2 1/4" pipe bent, and put a "Sonic Turbo" in the rear. It sounded good. The Dynomax I put on my stock 305 '79 ElCamino. They were supposed to be suramic coated. In one winter's time, they had surfaced rusted. I had to relocate the oil filter, because it was along the side and ALMOST TOUCHING the oil filter. I put the oil filter inside the left half of the front bumper. I had to go buy the oil filter relocation kit, and the kit did not nearly give me enough hose, so i had to go buy more hose to replace what was in the kit. I bought better quality hose, too. I got the Dynomax from Summit. The air conditioner bracket I bought with that didn't even fit. I should have returned the latter order. I'll not buy these brands again. I'm in Ohio, which has something to do with it, but both brands rusted through in three years. I want to buy a header, or a pair, ONCE. That includes reducers. I don't want to spend a thousand either. WHAT BRANDS OF HEADERS DO YOU ALL SUGGEST, for anything including Pintos. The next one I'll need one for is a '73 pinto. It's either a 2300, or 2000. I don't have this car yet. It has a bigger camshaft. It's one of the first two parts I'll need, that and the grille. I've heard there are different coatings, and they can be dipped. WHAT BRANDS OF HEADERS, and WHO CAN MAKE ME A GOOD, LONG LASTING THICK HEADER, with of course proper shape and flow? I don't need them "tuned". Thank you. Bill
