Cant Stop the Signal ? I can....
« on: September 30, 2012, 11:24:55 PM »
Finally got time to work on the new Pinto. Still having issues with the lighting. Replaced both front park/signal lamp sockets and bulbs with new units.
Now have park lights on both left and right and emergency flashers left and right. The right hand signal works but the left turn signal does not.
Seems kinda strange. The rears work as the should. I checked the connector halfway up the column and the wire there signals as it should for a
left turn, so it must be between there and the socket connector.
I thought I had a wiring diagram for this car, but turns out its the Ranchero, Cougar, T-bird one, Does anyone have a diagram for a 78 Pinto?
or any ideas ?
                 Thanks

Take the assembly off the grille and see if you have power behind the assembly on the wire going to the bulb. Dirty socket connection for the one contact or maybe even a broken wire.
