Title: Gaskets?
Post by: dianne on September 21, 2013, 02:35:33 PM: Does anyone know where I might be able to order gaskets for a Pinto? Harder than heck to find them...

I need the o-ring and gasket for a distributor and also the fuel pump gasket.

I kept it around as a good spare. No gasket for it though. They can easily be cut out of a sheet of gasket paper though!

Early 2.0 uses an odd pump, with a vertical bolt pattern. Not sure for the 2.3 as I don't have one, but the part listed on O'Reilly's website does look like a standard SBC pump, so it very well might work in that application. If you have a 2.3, parts availability shouldn't be a big issue, since they were used in tons of vehicles.

Site says the 2.8 uses the same FP gasket as the 71-72 2.0's. YMMV. What motor are you running?

I've had good luck with sourcing parts from RockAuto.com, if it's not something of immediate need (shipping time).
