Gas Tanks
« on: October 15, 2012, 05:38:47 PM »
Do all the Pinto gas tanks have the same lock ring and seal on the sending unit? My tank has a leak and I am looking at a new tank for a 1980. Are all 1974-1980 tanks the same? Also the pipe feeding it is just a push in through the rubber gasket? Any knowledge would be appreciated and I thank you!

There is a difference in tank shape 74 - 80. Sending unit lock rings are the same. The fill pipe is a slide in, you can buy new grommet from SSC Enterprises.   Fred   :)

You can buy the sending unit gasket and lock ring on EBay.
