The brain seems to be the second thing to go. :'(

Well, I might be back to pulling the 2.3 from the 89 Mustang for a Pinto. Nope, not the 74 Wagon. I'll know for sure one way or the other later tonight.

Anyway, hood clearance won't be an issue, the hood on the potential car has a scoop on it already. Seller previously ran a turbo 2.3.

Since I have the Mustang, pulling the computer and all the wiring is just a matter of doing it. And since the trans in the Mustang is an A4ld I need the computer for it anyway unless I go with a stand alone. End goal is to run a T5 manual, but probably won't happen for a while, but I will need to get this new car running asap. It's setup for a 2.3, so at least for now that is the one I will go with since I have one. If I could use the overdrive trans without a computer but fully functional I would really do that. The potential car comes with 4.10 rear gears, so o/d is pretty important. Would like this car to be my daily driver at some point in the near future.

So I like EFI. But carbs are nice and simple. I have to pass emissions here, both idling and at like 30mph. So I am not sure which way to go.

With all that said I am looking for your thoughts either way.  :-\
