Fuel Line Placement
« on: December 07, 2013, 02:19:18 PM »
So, I'm almost done with the engine rebuild in my '80. I've got the motor back in the car and almost everything is hooked up but I've lost the pictures I had of where the fuel lines run and one of them broke when I was re installing the motor.

Could someone possibly either take pictures or send me a diagram of where the line go?

Thanks!

Also, I think my belt timing is off. I have a hard time understanding timing, and where my sprockets need to go and such so any help in that area would be super greatly appreciated.

do you have timing belt cover and pointer or not?  if so, line up the mark on the cam gear with the pointer while the crank is at TDC. If you don't have a pointer, use a string to make a straight line between the center of the cam gear and the center of the auxiliary gear.  line up the mark on the cam gear with the string while the crank is at TDC

Okay awesome! Do I line up the aux pointer with the string too?

There's no mark on the aux gear(at least mine don't have one)at TDC the rotor on the distributor needs to be lined up with #1 plug wire.

That's awesome. That article helps me a ton. Timing confuses me but that clears it up a lot.
