Fuel cell sender....
« on: December 12, 2005, 04:20:47 PM »
It's not working. Anyone have any problems with these? it's a 70-10 ohm sender (ford) is the pinto a diffrent resistance? it's half full but when i turn it on, the needle moves to E and no further. the guage works becasue when i touch the wires, it goes to full. thought i had them backwards on the sender so i switched them, no change. Any ideas???

Thanks.

Chris Did you get your sending unit problems ironed out?

I'm going to get mine this weekend. as a back up plan I have a Autometer guage for a GM style unit.

nope, still not doing what it's supposed to. And as for now, the car is all apart. At least the least of my worrries now is the fuel sender.

Best of luck with yours, let me know if you have any troubles or anything so i can try and fix mine as well
