Does anyone know anything about these (picture attached)?
« on: April 17, 2018, 04:31:27 AM »
These were on the 79 Pinto I just got. There are also matching pieces at the rear of the rear wheelwells. They were off when I bought the car. They go along the bottom from the front wheelwell to the rear.
Sorry for the lousy picture, but I was in a hurry to get to the storage place.
They are made of a flexible black plastic/vinyl.
Thanks,
Russ

Russ,
If I'm not mistaken, those are from the rare Boss Kit that was an appearance option. Look at Cookieboys Red car or Mike Streets Green Boss Pinto for the installed images.

Thanks.
Those do look like they could be that.
I'll have to do some more looking. Wonder if they are something like a JC Whitney copy?
Up in the air if I want to reuse them or not at this point.

Plastic ones are the original Hot Pants kit.

Mike makes new ones with fiberglass.

Thanks.
I didn't realize that plastic was being used then, thought it was still fiberglas.
