ford factory mag wheels/rims?! different offsets!!?!!?
« on: March 07, 2012, 04:22:11 AM »
have a set of the alum. mags on my hatchback and have had 2spares for years, well looking on craigslist found 2 more about 1hr and 15min from my house,
well i bought the wheels from the old guy that had them and the offset is different from the ones on my car and the spares i have, did ford make different offsets for the pinto mags? and all the rims i have do have the ford emblem inbossed as well as part numbers, im kinda glad to have an offset but it was a big surprise to me!!
thanks for any input!!

71/72's and maby 73's have less backspace than 74/80's. Been there/done that.
Its better to be a has-been, than a never was.

ok then, well i guess i have a set of two 71-73 for the front

if they are the early slots (71-73) they will not work for 74 and up, center hole is to small, try a test fit before you have rubber mounted

thats funny how things work out, i was doing the front brakes and the rotors on my 78 are off an 71-73 pinto, so the rims will fit, and here i was so mad about that it worked out to my advantage, well that never happens!!

thanks for the input and info guys!!
