Title: Exhaust routing on a 79?
Post by: russosborne on October 15, 2018, 04:21:27 AM
Does it go straight back under the passenger side or does it cross over?  :-[
Thanks,
Russ

The stock system with the 2.3 was all on the right side , sedan or wagon , the V6 had a Y pipe that moved over to the right in the rear , but for a few years they did have a duel system for the V6 but ended up on the right to a duel inlet muffler , see mustang two with same set up , done one wagon with duels on both sides but you have to cut out the spare tire tub and install a plate and installed a boat tank in the middle ,

Thanks.
It figures, my brand new exhaust for the 89 Mustang donor crosses to the left just past the transmission.
But at least I can use the down pipe and cat converter, I hope. Maybe even the muffler and tail pipe if I am lucky. The rest is easy.
