Title: Early radiator (71-73) needed
Post by: fast64ranchero on January 11, 2013, 10:25:44 AM
I can find a "new" stock radiator for my 72, I know I can have a new core put in my old one, but I'd like to know what other radiators you guys have used, that are close to stock size.

I can't go much wider than stock, as I need to keep room for the intercooler piping, I can have a custom built aluminum made for $650 ouch! :o

Fred, Is the 74 Mustang radiator the same as a 74 and up Pinto radiator? I looked at the later Pinto radiators, I'd have to swap the intlet and outlets for the 2.0L, or use my tanks. Do they have the same mounting holes?

I am runnin a '94 explorer rad from the 4.0l   .   Lots of volume, aluminum and cheap.  only needed a couple of saddles made for the bottom.  top is passenger  side bottom is on drivers.  should fit the hole and leave room for piping

I adapted one from an early 90's Dodge Dakota. It has the hoses on the correct sides & they are the correct sizes.
